Do you know about Hacky Hours?

Good tools and programmes can greatly support and simplify daily scientific work. But who can know all of them? And who can tell you whether a particular tool or package is really suitable for the intended use and where there are possible pitfalls?

These questions will be addressed in the “Hacky Hours” at the DPG Spring Meeting in Erlangen.

You have the possibility to present your own favorite tools, which ease your daily scientific life, to an interested audience and learn and discuss about the favorite tools of your colleagues. The time slots consist of invited talks and talks from participants and plenty of time for open discussions.

In the course of the rapid development of AI, we can imagine a focus on "AI support in scientific work" and would like to particularly call for contributions from this area.

Please choose part AKjDPG, AKPIK or AGI for the submission (latest until 16 January 2026, regardless of the regular submssion deadline).

The session organisers look forward to receiving your submissions.
