Coffee and tea are offered for free in the foyer of the following lecture hall buildings during the breaks:

► Lunch

Erlangen offers a wide variety of options for lunch close to most lecture buildings, especially around the Schlossgarten.

Childcare

The Family Service of the FAU will offer childcare on campus for children of DPG conference participants. Childcare is provided by students from FAU with experience in caring for children who are known personally to the Family Service.

Childcare facility:
Childcare will be provided in a building used for the conference. Detailed information will follow.

Costs:
The fee for childcare amounts to € 15.00 per hour and child. Parents will receive an invoice for the costs of childcare provided by the FAU. After prior registration parents will be charged, even if their child will not attend childcare.

Registration:
Please make a binding booking for the childcare in written with the following information

• contact details with address for the invoice
• number and age of children to be cared for
• needed care times
• special requests/requirements for the carer

to the Family Service of the FAU, Ms. Ann-Kathrin Vallee (ann-kathrin.vallee[@]fau.de) by 15 February 2026 at the latest.

A parent-child room and as well a baby changing room will be available for you and your child(ren) during the entire conference. The facilities are located in the PSG-Gebäude, Kochstraße 6a, 91054 Erlangen.

Cloakroom

A cloakroom and luggage storage is available at the information desk at the Orangerie during the opening hours.

Participants are asked to look after their wardrobe, valuables, laptops and other belongings.

Internet Access / WiFi

The Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnbergis a member of the eduroam union. If your university is also part of the eduroam union, you can use the university WiFi in all buildings via your own eduroam account.

Alternatively, you can use the "FAU-Event" network.

Lost Property

You can hand in lost property at the information desk. During the conference, you can also collect your lost property
there or afterwards at ECAP Laboratory, Nikolaus- Fiebinger- Straße 2, 91058 Erlangen.
