About

DPG Spring Meeting 2026 in Erlangen
Thank you for coming together where disciplines of physics connect!

Bringing together the physics community

The DPG Spring Meeting 2026 in Erlangen is a scientific research conference that brings together more than 2,000 physicists from around the world to showcase their work, connect with others, and discover groundbreaking physics research.

Mutual Respect at Conferences

All participants are requested to contribute to a conference that values respect and a spirit of open communication. Please be mindful in your interactions with other participants – whether during individual sessions or elsewhere during the conference, and consider that individuals with diverse backgrounds may be sensitive to different forms and manifestations of social behavior, scientific criticism, and appreciation. Also note that any form of encroaching behavior has no place at the DPG’s meetings. Do not hesitate to contact the conference’s awareness team, the conference office or the local conference organizers in the event of disturbances. The conference organiser will take appropriate action.

Acknowledgment

The Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft want to thank the following persons and institutions for supporting the conference:

  • the programme committee
  • the local conference organisers
  • the FAU
  • the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation, Hanau
  • and all staff, who make the success of the conference possible.

Liability Exclusion

Participants are asked to carefully look after their wardrobe, valuables, laptops and other belongings. The organisers cannot assume any liability.

Say Cheese!

The DPG Spring Meeting is basically public to the press. Please note: On behalf of DPG, photos and videos will be recorded during the Fall Meeting. In the context of public relations, these recordings (as the case may be) will be published on our website, in social media or within prints of the DPG for example.

About DPG

The German Physical Society (DPG) is there for everyone: students, professors, pupils, teachers, people working in industry or simply interested in physics. The DPG is the mouthpiece of physics and contact for people interested in physics. As a non-profit association, it does not pursue any economic interests and is based on the principles of voluntarism and voluntary work. In the DPG, young scientists meet Nobel Laureates, interested parties with experts and young with old. Together they form the world's largest physical society.
